Summer Rain

This is a painting of a Hanoverian warmblood horse. The recipient wanted a 'Summer Rain' theme... and I also went for a classical oil-paint feel, using the yellow undertones. Photo-references not used, I don't much like looking at refs while I paint. Instead I first made sketches from real-life horses.

All critique most welcome, though it's just a simple piece.
Made with photoshop 7 and a wacom tablet.
